What goes on a cleaning estimate
Cleaning quotes are simple, which makes the details matter: what a “deep clean” includes, how extras are charged, and what happens if the client cancels late. The template lists each type of clean with what it covers in the detail line, and the terms include a cancellation line you can edit.
For regular clients, quote the visit once and duplicate the document for each invoice. Recurring invoices are on the Pro list for later.

Tips from the trade
- Spell out what a deep clean includes, inside appliances and baseboards, in the detail line.
- Ask about pets and special surfaces before the first visit, and say so in the notes.
- Use Duplicate in My documents for repeat visits until recurring invoices arrive.
Questions people ask
How do I write a cleaning estimate?
Name the type of clean and what it includes, the number of visits, any extras such as windows or carpets, supplies if you charge for them, the total, and your cancellation and payment terms.
Can I use it for commercial cleaning?
Yes. Change the unit to “month” or “visit”, list the areas or tasks, and use the reference field for the client’s contract or PO number.
What should a cleaning estimate say about cancellations?
When a late cancellation is charged and how much. The template’s terms say cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged; change the time and add an amount if you charge a fixed fee.
Should I charge for supplies?
Say either way. If you bring your own products and equipment, a supplies line makes that visible; if the client provides them, delete the line and note it, so nobody is surprised on the day.
Can I turn the estimate into an invoice when the job is done?
Yes. Click “Turn into invoice”. The client, scope and prices carry over, the estimate number is noted on the invoice, and any deposit you asked for is shown as received so the invoice shows the balance due.
