What it does

  • Frames your head to the rule. It finds your face, measures chin to crown, and crops to the head size and eye line each document asks for.
  • Fixes the background. An on-device model separates you from the room and puts you on the right colour.
  • Checks it. Head size, centring, tilt, eyes open, background evenness and blur, each with a pass, warning or fail and the reason.
  • Hits the file size. For forms with a KB limit it finds the best quality that fits, from 20 KB for Pakistan's portal to 10 MB for the UK's.
  • Prints cheaply. A 4×6 inch sheet with as many true-size photos as fit, with cut lines.
  • Cleans signatures. For exam forms, photograph your signature and get clean ink on white at the right KB.

Is it really free?

Yes. The single photo, the 4×6 print sheet and the signature file are free, full size and without a watermark. The work happens on your device, so it costs us nothing to run.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

No. Face detection and background removal run in your browser. The photo stays on your device.

Will my photo be accepted?

The tool sizes and checks the photo against the official numbers, but no tool can guarantee acceptance. Officials also judge expression, lighting, glasses and how recent the photo is. Follow the checklist and the official rules linked on each page.

How do I print the photos?

Download the 4×6 print sheet and print it as a standard 4×6 inch (10×15 cm) photo at a pharmacy, photo kiosk or online lab. Print at 100% size, not "fit to page".
