How to make your Google review QR code

  1. Paste your Google Maps link, “Ask for reviews” link or Place ID in step 1. Use Try a sample to see how it works first.
  2. Choose a colour theme, a code style (square, rounded or dots) and the corner style.
  3. Add your logo if you like. It can go above your business name and in the middle of the code.
  4. Pick the QR code tab for the code alone, with a badge or label frame carrying your call to action. Download a PNG up to 4096 px, an SVG for a printer or designer, or a PDF.
  5. Scan the printed code with your own phone before you put it out.

Sticker sheet15 × 50 mm on A4, 12 × 2 in on LetterTakeaway bags, boxes, packaging, job folders, doors

Shops and clinics often print the counter card or a framed code on A4 and put it in a standee by the billing counter. Restaurants get more from table tents, because guests have their phones out while they wait for the bill.

Static codes, not tracking codes

Many QR code sites give you a “dynamic” code that goes through their own short link first, so they can count scans, and some stop working when a free trial ends. This tool makes a static code: the review link is written into the code itself. It can’t be switched off, nobody tracks your customers’ scans, and it works for as long as your Google listing does.

If you need to change where the code points, print a new one. To keep reprints rare, use the most stable link you have: the g.page/r/… link from your Business Profile, or the Place ID link. Need help finding either? See how to get your Google review link.

Tips for codes that scan first time

  • Keep the white border. The quiet zone around the code tells the camera where it starts.
  • Dark on light. Use a dark code on a white or pale background, with strong contrast.
  • Matte, not glossy. Laminated or glossy prints can reflect overhead lights. Matte card or paper scans more easily.
  • Say what happens. “Scan to review us on Google” tells people what they’ll get. The badge and label frames put that on the code.
  • Don’t ask for five stars. Ask for an honest review. Asking for a rating, or offering anything in return, is against Google’s rules.

Questions people ask

How do I make a QR code for Google reviews?

Paste your Google Maps link, Business Profile review link or Place ID into step 1. The tool builds your review link and turns it into a QR code straight away. Choose colours, a code style and your logo, then download it as PNG, SVG or PDF.

Is the Google review QR code free, and does it expire?

It is free, and it never expires. The code holds your review link itself, not a redirect through our servers, so it keeps working even if this site disappears. There is nothing to renew.

Can I put my logo in the middle of the QR code?

Yes. Add your logo and tick “In the code”. The tool then uses the highest error correction level (H), which lets the code be read with part of the centre covered, and keeps the logo small enough to stay within that margin. Always test-scan before printing.

What size should I print the QR code?

A common rule of thumb: the code should be at least one tenth as wide as the distance it will be scanned from. A code 2.5 cm (1 in) wide reads from about 25 cm; for a counter or table, 5 to 8 cm (2 to 3 in) is comfortable. Leave the white margin around it.

Which colours scan best?

A dark code on a light background. Light codes on dark backgrounds, and low-contrast pairs like yellow on white, fail on some phone cameras. The tool warns you when the colours you pick are risky.

Can I print it on A4 or US Letter paper?

Both. Table tents and sticker sheets come in A4 and US Letter. The tool picks the usual size for your country, and you can switch it. The counter card is 4 × 6 in (about 10 × 15 cm).

Can the text on the card be in Hindi or another language?

Yes. Type your headline and call to action in any language and script your device can display, for example “हमें Google पर रिव्यू दें”. Check the preview, because the downloads use your device’s own fonts.
