- Basic Package, free: resume and cover letter builders and templates, with downloads in TXT format only.
- Pro Package: a 14-day trial for $1.95. “After 14 days, auto-renews at $25.95 billed every 4 weeks.” Downloads in PDF, Word and TXT.
- Annual Package: $5.95 a month, paid as $71.40 at once, auto-renewing each year. Downloads in PDF, Word and TXT.
Zety’s terms add that a subscription renews automatically until you cancel, that refunds can be requested if you cancel before the end of the initial period, and that refunds are not guaranteed.

Is Zety free?
Zety’s free Basic Package lets you build a resume and download it as a plain-text (TXT) file. PDF and Word downloads are in its paid Pro and Annual packages. When we checked on 2026-11-03, Pro was a $1.95 14-day trial that then renews at $25.95 every 4 weeks, and Annual was $71.40 a year. Check zety.com/pricing for the current offer.
What do I give up compared with Zety?
Zety lists 18+ resume templates, a cover letter builder, an import for your existing resume, job matches, and keeps your documents in an account you can open on any device. This builder has four single-column templates and no cover letters, saves in your browser, and moves between devices with a JSON file.
Can I move my resume from another builder?
There is no direct import from other builders’ formats. Copy your text from your existing resume (or its PDF) into the fields here. After that, export it as JSON so you never have to retype it.
Will a recruiter know I used a free builder?
No. There is no watermark, logo or footer on the PDF or Word file. The PDF lists the builder only in its hidden “creator” metadata field, the same way Word or Google Docs do.
Do I need to cancel anything?
Not here: there is no subscription and no payment details are ever asked for. Zety’s terms say a subscription renews automatically until you cancel, that you can cancel through customer service or the cancel page in your account settings, and that you may request a refund if you cancel before the end of the initial period.
