The NEET (UG) 2026 information bulletin asks for a JPG photo of 10 to 200 KB, with your face (no mask) filling about 80% of it, ears visible, on a white background, and a JPG signature of 10 to 100 KB. It gives no pixel size. A live photo is also taken in the form.
The NEET photo preset turns on Whiten the background, which makes a plain wall behind you white. Crop in close so your face fills most of the frame. To frame the face to 80% automatically, the NEET photo and signature maker measures it for you.
Category, PwD and Class 10 certificate PDFs have their own limit of 50–300 KB in the bulletin: compress certificate PDFs to 50–300 KB for those.

How to do it
- Take a photo against a plain light wall, facing the camera, ears visible, no mask.
- Add it here. The NEET photo preset is selected (10–200 KB, white background).
- Drag the crop box in close so your face fills most of the frame, then download.
- Switch to NEET (UG) · Signature, add a photo of your signature on white paper, and download that too.
How it hits the size
The tool saves your image as a JPG again and again at different quality levels, halving the gap each time, until it finds the highest quality that fits under the maximum. That takes about ten tries and usually well under a second. If you set an exact pixel size it never changes it; with "Any size" it shrinks the pixels instead of letting the picture go blocky.
Forms disagree on whether 1 KB is 1,000 or 1,024 bytes, so we count the maximum as 1,000 bytes and the minimum as 1,024. A file that passes our check passes either way. If your image is too simple to reach a minimum even at top quality, we add blank data inside the file (a JPEG comment) to reach it; the picture does not change.
Private by design
Your photo never leaves your phone or computer. The resizing, cropping and signature clean-up all run in your browser, so it works on a slow connection and nothing is stored anywhere. The download is free, with no watermark and no sign-up.

Questions people ask
What is the NEET photo size in KB?
Between 10 KB and 200 KB, as a JPG/JPEG, according to the NEET (UG) 2026 information bulletin. The signature must be between 10 KB and 100 KB.
What pixel size should the NEET photo be?
The bulletin gives none. Any clear photo within 10–200 KB works; the tool keeps it sharp by shrinking very large camera photos before it lowers the quality.
How do I make the NEET photo background white?
Stand in front of a plain light wall and keep "Whiten the background" on: the wall turns white. For a busy background, use the passport photo maker, which cuts out the person.
Will these numbers change for NEET 2027?
They may. When NTA publishes the next information bulletin, check its photo and signature section; we update the preset when it changes.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. Resizing and whitening run in your browser; nothing leaves your device.
